The man who admitted to shooting a Brown County resident in a "crime of passion" will go to trial for murder.

Today, a grand jury indicted Rene Pinon on murder charges for the death of Eddie Lopez.

The incident happened in March right outside of Early Donuts. Shortly after, Pinon confessed to authorities that he shot Lopez in what he called a "crime of passion."

Investigators say the two men were in a disagreement about money owed to Pinon's fiancee.

The men exchanged words before Pinon grabbed his gun and fired several shots at Lopez, who was sitting in his car.
