Snyder Rescinds Boil Water Notice

By: Snyder Daily News
Updated: May 4, 2012
City officials announced at 11:30 a.m. today that the boil water notice has been lifted.

Officials with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) informed city officials of the test results.

On Thursday, the TCEQ required the city's public water system to issue a boil water notice prior to consumption.

The notice stated that "to ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and for making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption."

Also on Thursday, crews repaired a water leak on Ave V.

That leak did not have anything to do with the pressure loss Wednesday night.
