It's a numb feeling," says Gabriel Mendoza.

It is hard to know exactly what to feel at a time like this.

Mendoza continues, "He's a young kid that made a fatal mistake that took two precious girls lives and justice was served today."

That is how Mendoza sees it. His son is still recovering from the accident. But, for family members whose loved ones were killed, they feel a little differently.

"No one can do anything or say anything that's going to bring my sister back. So it doesn't make it easier for me. Like that pain is still there," says Danielle Sanchez, Elexus Flores' sister.

"We live in the nightmare of what we have to go through. It's unbearable and it's still hard for both of us and all the family," Rocky Flores adds.

Today family members gathered at the grave site of Elexus Flores and Breanna Camacho.

Rocky Flores says, "These two girls will be greatly missed. Nothing will ever bring those girls back anymore. Myself, Valerie, we hope that justice is done."

If a trial is set, the families will have to relive that tragic day all over again.

Elexus' mother, Linda Rodriguez, says, "We're going to live with this for the rest of our lives. It's never going to, even if they sentence him, the maximum it's not going to be enough."

In the midst of everything that has happened over the past couple weeks families hope others will learn from their experience.

"We were all kids. I know as teenagers you want to have fun but hopefully this wakes up all the teenagers," says Mendoza.
