Special Olympics Spring Games Comes to Abilene

The Special Olympics Texas Spring Games took place today at Abilene Christian University, where hundreds of athletes participated in multiple sporting categories. A number of awards were also received by the athletes in each of the different categories.

Special Olympics Texas is a non-profit organization aimed at empowering and encouraging people with disabilities and provides opportunities for over 44,000 children and adults.

The organization is already planning for next year's Special Olympics Game.
