The Fandangle Association hosted their annual old fashion family picnic and sampler at the Shackelford County Courthouse Square earlier this evening. The event was a preview of what people can expect during the summer Fandangle performance. The Fandangle has been putting on these shows for 74 years, and plans to keep it going strong.

"The Fandangle is the history of Shackelford county" says Connie Wood, a Fandangle narrator. "So when we participate in the Fandangle, we our honoring the heritage of our ancestors and that brings all of our community together."

The Fandangle Association will hold their summer performance during the last two weekends in June.
