Snyder Police Have Suspect in 7-Eleven Robbery

By: Snyder Daily News
Updated: May 7, 2012
Investigators say they have a suspect in the April robbery of 7-Eleven.

"We have a couple of more witnesses we need to speak with, but we are getting the case wrapped up," said Snyder Police Chief Terry Luecke.

Five units were dispatched to the store -- located directly across the street from the law enforcement center -- just after midnight on April 29 on a report of a man shoving the female clerk to the ground and taking money from the register.

Luecke said the suspect has been interviewed by police and is cooperating with the investigation. He added that police know the man's location.

No weapon was used, but because an assault occurred during the commission of a theft, that enhanced the charges up to robbery.

An undetermined amount of cash was taken and the clerk did not require medical attention.
