A special luncheon was held earlier today to honor an important part of the Abilene economy.

Today kicks off National Tourism Week all across the country.

Here in Abilene, the Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted a luncheon for "Heroes of Tourism," including those that host meetings that help to directly impact tourism and the economy of our city.

Bringing visitors into Abilene significantly helps local businesses flourish and keep homeowner taxes down.
