A diligent witness helped police catch two suspected vehicle burglars over the weekend.

According to police, a witness saw two men breaking into a truck at Texas Road House on Danville, called 911 and followed the pair all the way out to Merkel.

Police arrested 30-year-old Ricky Anthony Delapaz (pictured left) and 29-year-old Rojelio Gutierrez (right) on Interstate 20 and charged them with burglary of a motor vehicle.

Delapaz also has a case out of Nolan County for organized criminal activity.

Items taken from the truck were recovered.
