They're some of the most talented and spirited girls in the key city, not to mention national champions when it comes to cheerleading. They've only been a team for two years and already they're making a splash across the Big Country.

Director of X-Treme Cheer, Brooke Bailey, says "It was a surprise to myself that we even started the team. It came out of a chit chat between parents one day we thought hey lets have a team. I'd been coaching for eight years and had gotten out of it when my daughter didn't want to cheer anymore but I missed it. So we approached the director of the YMCA who had an empty gymnastics facility and said can we start a competition cheerleading team that is apart of the YMCA and he was over the moon excited."

If you want to get involved with X-Treme Cheer or find out when you can catch their next competition, give them a call at 325-677-8144. You can also find them on facebook for the latest updates just search AbileneXtreme Cheer.
