The Coleman Police Department received a call at approximately 8:00 Friday morning about a probable break-in at the local Antique Mall in downtown Coleman.

Upon arrival officer Jason Ritter witnessed a glass that had apparently been broken by an axe as well as a display case and some costume jewelry that was on the street between the store itself and the Chamber office.

The Antique Mall has Consignment Vendor Booths in the store. While only one vendor actually lost any merchandise, the value of the burglary is at a loss of over $8,000.

The police department was able to lift some fingerprints which are being put into the data base and will help with the investigation.

It is believed that this burglary had more than one person involved and at this time is under investigation by Officer Jason Ritter with Detective Phil Chambers assisting.
