ACU beat out some big name schools to be declared the best managed endowment in the nation

The university's endowment saw an average return of 10 percent in the last ten years, which is double the national average of about 5 percent. And the investment made on these returns are going straight back to the school.

"The primary benefit of that is that it helps students through scholarships and through  better resources to help in the teaching and research for students," said cheif investment office Jack Rich.

By being the number one spot, the university did beat out schools like Harvard and Yale.
