Free information on ways to conserve is available at the City of Brownwood city hall in our public information center on topics including indoor, outdoor usage. We also have information on our website."
The Brown County Independent reports that the city of Bangs is also allowing the additional water times. They state "Due to citizen requests following the announcement that Brownwood water customers would be permitted to fill swimming pools on May 9 and 10 as part of testing the capacity of the Brown County Water Improvement District's microfiltration water treatment plant, Bangs residents are being permitted to fill swimming pools on those two days - Wednesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 10 - without violation or excessive use surcharge. To avoid the surcharge, residents must call city hall at 752-6223 and request a meter reading before and after filling their pools."
Please note that this extra watering day does not apply to the city of Early or Zephyr.
