SAN ANGELO - ACU junior Travis Schuetze was voted to the all-tournament team Wednesday after Angelo State beat Tarleton State to win the Lone Star Conference Post-Season Tournament.

The Rams (40-15) beat Tarleton State, 6-0, Wednesday afternoon at Foster Field to win the tournament title.

Angelo State won the regular-season championship and the tournament title to secure the league's automatic bid to next week's NCAA Division II South Central Region Tournament.  Tarleton State is 30-21 and it's season is likely over.  The Texans weren't ranked in the top eight in the latest regional poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon.

Schuetze was selected to the team as the second baseman after hitting .429 in the Wildcats' four-game tournament run.  Schuetze was 6 for 14 with three runs scored and eight RBI in the tournament.

Schuetze had back-to-back three RBI games in ACU's 7-2 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sunday and again in Tuesday's 14-3 win over Incarnate Word.  He had two RBI in Tuesday afternoon's season-ending 3-2 loss to Tarleton State.
