The NWS just issued a Flash Flood Watch for areas South of I-20 from 7 am through Friday morning. Widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely today and tonight. This rainfall will be heavy at times with 1 to 3 inches expected across much of the area. This rainfall, when combined with saturated soils from previous rains, will result in the potential for flash flooding mainly south of interstate 20. The heaviest rainfall is expected this afternoon and evening with lighter rainfall continuing into Friday.
