McMurry Students Help Make Learning Science Fun for 5th Graders

When it comes to learning, who says it can't be fun?

For the fifth grade magnet school at McMurry University, learning is fun. An Introduction to Scientific Research class at the university created games in order to teach science to the fifth graders.

The same logic, trial and error types of things that are used in science were used in the games as something to help students learn in a not-so-traditional way.

"They had to use those tools in order to put those games together for fifth grade students so the fifth grade students could experience exactly what you do in science. Which is, you have to solve problems and use the results of those problems to come up with the ultimate solution," says McMurry Biology professor Gary Wilson.

This was the third semester the fifth grade game project has been done.
