Eagles Will Bring A-Game Against Lubbock Coronado

The Abilene High Eagles spent all week preparing for their game tonight against Lubbock Coronado. The weather putting some damper in the practice schedule, however, the Eagles are fully aware of what it's going to take to beat the Mustangs, a team that went to the states last year, and is returning a crop full of talent.

"The one thing that they aren't going to do, is they are not going to beat themselves. They are not going to walk a lot of people, and we don't expect them to. They are not going to kick the ball around and make errors, and they are going to be fundamentally sound and put the ball in play. When we get opportunities to make plays we have to make them." Says Head Coach Scottie Sanchez.

"Their pitching is really good, and they play solid defense. Every team at this point does. We just have to focus on what we need to get done, we will be in every game." adds Will Pearson.

Game 1 has been moved to 7pm at Dan Law Field at Texas Tech. We will show you some of that action tonight at 10 and have a final score.

Game 2 is tomorrow at 1 at Blackburn Field.
