Western Heritage Classic Sees Large Turnout

By: Kristin Anderson
Updated: May 12, 2012
The event was full from the minute the gates opened at 8am Saturday morning. This even caused some to park in Shotwell Stadium, which doesn't happen all that often at the WHC. Expo officials are saying this is due to this weekend's weather.

"Well I think a lot of it is the rain. I think that the cool weather has brought a lot of people in," said Rochelle Johnson, general manager. "Of course ranchers and farmers love rain, so this isn't something that would dampen this type of event."

Among the big turnout were visitors from Vermont and even Great Britain and France.
