AISD Board to Review Budget Items

By: Marlisa Goldsmith
Updated: May 14, 2012
AISD board trustees will be meeting tonight to review budget items, discuss residual budget fund options and approval of the teacher appraisal instrument.

Although some discussions may be postponed due to recent school board elections, the in-depth discussion of budget preparation will continue.

At last month's board meeting there was in-depth discussion regarding revenue and expenditure needs in the district.

"And that conversation is going to continue tonight," says AISD Superintendent Heath Burns. "Ultimately culminating, I suspect, in the adoption of a budget and tax rate here in a few months."

The meeting will begin at 5:30 this evening.
