Money from 'Jarrett's 5k' to Provide Car Seats to Charities

By: Brendaliss Gonzalez
Updated: May 14, 2012
A local couple who has dedicated their efforts to continuing their son's legacy will be donating thousands of dollars in car seats.

Michelle and Matthew Mantanona raised $4,200 during a 5k on Sunday in honor of their son Jarrett, who was killed last year by a drunken driver.

The boy's parents now plan on purchasing car seats with the money and donating them to local charities.
