HSU's Wallace And Namey Earn All-Region Honors

Wallace was named to the first team as the utility player. Wallace led the Cowgirls with a .425 batting average and she had seven home runs and 36 RBIs. She also was 13-8 in the circle with a 2.18 ERA in 135 innings of work for the Cowgirls.
Namey, who became the Cowgirls all-time home runs leader during the season, hit .370 with seven home runs and 29 RBIs. She was named to the third team. The third team does not list players by position, but she played catcher for the Cowgirls.
HSU went 23-17 in 2012 and advanced to the American Southwest Conference Tournament.
