For Abilene mixed martial artists or fans of M.M.A. fighting, the Big Country in the past has been lacking on stores geared just for them. But not anymore, now the Mall of Abilene has a brand new store, Premier Fight Shop and it's got everything you need to when it comes to fight gear.

"We have a little bit of everything," says Owner James Cox, also owner of Premier Martial Arts. "Our goal is to have what fighters like, what fans like, and just a variety of things and be unique with good quality."

Premier Fight Shop carries some of the top brands in the world when it comes to fight gear. Brands you can't get anywhere else in the Key City.

"There are certain places that may sell a brand of Tap Out, but we have an all inclusive, complete line of mixed martial arts apparel, gear, novelties, for fans and for fighters."

In the future, Cox says he plans to make the same gear available across the Big Country by opening schools and fight gear shops in a variety of places.

"Mixed martial arts is the fastest growing sport," explains Cox, "and with the sport growing there is also a huge fan base."

All you have to do is head to a popular hang out during an M.M.A. or U.F.C. match to see a growing trend of Tap Out and Affliction gear.

"This is what the people are wearing. Instead of them ordering online, we have everything here," says Cox.
