The 3rd ranked Hawley Lady Bearcats are still alive in the Class 2A postseason. The Lady Bearcats had to fight to the very end to survive their regional quarterfinal match up with Wall last week.

The were forced to a deciding game 3 by the 6th ranked Lady Hawks and came out on top. It was tough, but it was a great win for the Lady Bearcats.

Lady Bearcats head coach Amber Riddle says, "We knew it would be a tough series. Wall's a tough opponent, but we didn't give up. We kept fighting. That's what it takes for our girls. They're fighters. They've done that all season long."

Mistrie Vinson added, "It was very important. It was nerve racking, and it was just good to win. It gives a lot of confidence. We know we can do anything if we set our minds to it."

Vanessa Rubio said, "Well, it was definitely a big game because they're a really great team, and we just needed to go out there and win."

The Lady Bearcats meet Colorado City in the regional semifinals starting on Friday in Hawley at 7:30. Game 2 is in Forsan at 4. If game 3 is needed, they will play it right after game 2.
