Firefighter Charged with Arson Released from Jail

A lieutenant with the Hamby Volunteer Fire Department charged with two counts of arson has been released from jail.

Officers arrested and charged 24-year-old Taylor Dupree Partain for setting a wildfire last May on County Road 313 in Jones County.

The Texas Forest Service began investigating Partain after he was charged with a separate count of arson in connection with a fire at Hamby United Methodist Church in March.

Partain bonded out on April 30.
