Cisco College Headed To JUCO World Series

The 2012 Cisco College Baseball team beat Howard College today Howard College 5-2. This is the first time in the history of Cisco College (since 1940) that the baseball team has advanced to the NJCAA World Series.

Getting past Howard College was a daunting task, as Howard College beat Cisco College 16-5 in the semi-final game of the tournament. Cisco had skunked Howard College early in the series 8-0.

Cisco Coach David White said before the final game, "We will just keep fighting; we will fight all the way, getting as many runs as we can in the process". The Wranglers won the fight, ensuring Cisco College will be competing for the first time in the NJCAA World Series, which is played in Grand Junction, Colorado May 26 thru June 2, 2012.

Congratulations are in order for Coaches David White, Shawn Hughes, Tommy Szalewski and the entire team.  Cisco Wranglers ended the 2012 Season number with a 46/11 record, as Number 1 in Region V (Texas and New Mexico), and Number 3 Nationally.

The Wranglers will be taking their "fight" to Colorado in 10 days, where Big Country fans hope and believe they will win the World Series and be best NJCAA team in the Nation.
