Texas Big Bugs

They're not hard to miss. Those large beetles seem to be everywhere these days, from homes to shopping centers. But more than anything, these bugs are a nuisance as they crawl indoors, and often releasing an unpleasant odor.

Marinda Bilski, Abilene resident, remembers one of her own bug horror stories, "I reached into my purse and there was a beetle!"

Many businesses deal with the creepy crawly critters by making sure exterminators visit regularly, or by simply ignoring them.

Exterminators explain that the infestation of beetles and moths is a seasonal issue, that shouldn't last year round. But for many, that season can't change soon enough. 

These beetles are most commonly found in shady areas and near building entrances, as they search for shade.
