In light of the past couple of weeks for the Ruff Riders, competition has emerged in the Quarterback position. Up until this point, Larry Dockery was the main guy in the pocket, but now with the addition of Byron Ingram to the roster, it's brought about some friendly competition.

"If you don't want to compete, you shouldn't play football, and you certainly shouldn't play Quarterback. So it's good for them and it brings the best out of them in every drill we do. From routes on air to the individual period, everything they do they are competing with each other." says Head Coach Joe Brannen.

"Hopefully just to get both of us scene, you know, get both of us stats, experience, because we are both young. Hopefully it just develops both of us at the same time. If one person tends to outgrow one, then so be it because it's football." adds Byron Ingram

"Competition is always good. Its kinda hard to compete by yourself. You know you get into practice and you are getting all the reps versus another guy coming in and kind of challenging you with long balls, short balls, running the huddle as you run the huddle." says Larry Dockery.

"You know right now we are going to let them work it out in practice. We are going to see who executes better. We are charting completions, Tuesday we charted completions, Wednesday we are looking at it, so its going to be the best one is going to go, whoever gives us the best shot to win." adds Coach Brannen.

The question now remains who will be the starting quarterback on Saturday. An answer we won't get until Saturday Night.
