"Ladies, hurry, hurry, double time, let's go," Terry Bull says as he encourages his students to make it to class on time at Abilene High School.

That voice has echoed through the halls of Abilene ISD for years.

Principal Bull has worked in AISD for 36 years and he has held almost every position you could imagine.

He explains, "Coaching, teaching, driving a bus, a bus route, we had to drive a bus route one time. As well as, I did custodial work for a period of time."

No matter what he was doing in the district he always made people feel valued.

"Every time I ran into him in the hallway and felt like I had a problem, he never acted like he was too busy to talk to me," says Christian Alderman.

Alderman, a senior at Abilene High, says Mr. Bull's philosophy on education is what makes him stand out.

"Of course you know bigger problems at the school would be his priority but he never puts aside student problems "

"I've always tried to be about relationships," says Bull.

That is what he will miss the most.

Bull says, "I will miss the relationships with students and faculty and staff. That will be the hardest and that's what people say when they retire."

Next year you may not find him in the principal's office, but he promises, he will still be around.

He says, "I don't know what I'm going to do. I know one thing I'm still going to do I'm going to go watch the students at Abilene ISD do great things.
