Exploring Abilene: Kennel Club Dog Show

Western Heritage Classic was a huge success last weekend! We hope you got the chance to be a part of that special event. If not? There are still more West Texas, cowboy experiences to be had. Need some authentic Texas Music? Head over to little Texas to enjoy Three Shades Blue live at 9 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. The Taylor County Expo will play host to the Taylor Country 4-H Horse and Open Show starting at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. Divisions include Trail, Western, Horsemanship, Barrels, Hunter Under Saddle and more. Call the 4-H office to learn more about the competitions and classes: 325-672-6048.
Looking to add to your cowboy collection? The Texas Gun and Knife show will be held at the Abilene Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $5 per person. Call 830-285-0575 if you have questions.
Are you an active or retired military member? Please take the short drive to Buffalo Gap for their monthly Military Appreciation Day for free admission into the Historic Buffalo Gap Village. This is their way of saying thank you for your service! Call 325-572-3365 for more information.
