Update:
A driver failed to yield to traffic merging onto Interstate 20, causing the Cadillac to swerve into the median and eventually airborn into the creek.

The driver that failed to yield left the scene and was found by police at an Abilene residence and is being cooperative with police.

The family that was in the Cadillac was traveling from Dallas to a college graduation.

Original Story:
Abilene police, firefighters and ambulance attendants rushed out to help the victims of a traffic accident on Interstate 20 at about 10:30 this morning, where one person has died.

A Cadillac SUV carrying six people apparently lost control and plunged into the creek bed on Interstate 20 just west of Highway 351.

Multiple injuries were reported, as MetroCare dispatched all available units to the scene.

A witness says he pulled a 3-year-old from the car, who had a nosebleed.
