Wylie Drops a Pitchers Duel in the Series Opener

Sterling Bristow was great on Friday night for the Bulldogs only allowing two runs, but he didn't get much help as Wylie falls in game one 2-1.

The Wylie Bulldogs started their series with the Mineral Wells Rams on Friday night.

The Bulldogs and the Rams playing game one in Eastland.

In the first inning, Mineral Wells not messing around. They manufactured a run on a Hunter McCoy RBI ground out. That brought home Cloby Kissinger and the Rams went up 1-0.

Then in the 2nd, Sterling Bristow was taking control. He got Garrison Sanchez swinging to end the inning. And we had ourselves a pitchers duel in Eastland.

Then in the 3rd, Bristow got his man to pop one straight up and Jamie Boyd got on his horse is to make the catch coming in from right field, he caught this on the infield dirt but it was still 1-0 Mineral Wells.

But the Bulldogs fell by a final of 2-1 to Mineral Wells. Game 2 of this series is tomorrow back in Eastland at 1.
