Eagles End Spring Practice With Black & Gold Game

By: David Robinett & Alyssa Orange
Updated: May 18, 2012
The Abilene High Eagles finished up Spring Football practice Friday night with the Black & Gold Scrimmage at Shotwell Stadium.

Most teams use the Spring to answer questions about the starting lineup. The Eagles are unique in the fact that they return 18 of 22 starters from 2011, so that was not the issue.

Head Coach Steve Warren says he was looking for depth and he added that he thinks he found some. Abilene High expects to go to the playoffs every year, and the expectations in 2012 are even higher.

So now that the Spring is over for the Eagles,  they can concentrate on the upcoming season. Abilene High opens 2012 in Lewisville against Hebron.
