Footer Selected For NCAA Championships

CLAREMONT, Calif. -- Hardin-Simmons freshman Derek Footer has qualified for the 2012 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 110 hurdles.

Footer has the fifth best time in the nation with a 14.36 and he becomes the second HSU men's track and field athlete to qualify for nationals in the four year history of the program.
 
The event will be contested at Claremont Mudd Scripps Universities in Claremont, Calif.  The 110 hurdle prelims will be contested on Friday at 7:25 CST. The finals are slated for 7:25 on Saturday.
