When is the last time you sat back and wondered about the significance of wings? Chances are it's been a while. Prophetic artist Latimer Ramsey, explained the symbolism behind one of her most difficult and rewarding projects, "wings."
"For a while I just kept seeing wings, and wings, and wings," explains Ramsey, "I just kept seeing them in all kinds of ways, and hearing wings."
For help on how to interpret and download the messages, Ramsey turned to the Bible.
"There are many verses in the Bible that tell us about wings and what that means," she says.
Psalm 91 describes God as covering you with feathers, allowing us to take refuge under his huge wings.
"There's a part that talks about as a mother hen guards her chicks under her wings, and scoops them up, it's so sweet," she explains using help from Psalm 91:11. "There are so many rich passages about being lifted up on wings like eagles."
Ramsey braved the triple digit heat in order to sculpt her version of "wings" until she says she heard the Lord tell her to take a break.
"As I was resting, I was impressed that I was to Google the words that I was hearing," explains Ramsey. "So I Googled 'the sound of angel's wings' and found a group of people talking about the sound of angel wings."
Ramsey describes the findings as more than she could ever imagine.
