Taylor Co. Commissioners Approve Change in Determining Raises for Officials

By: Kristin Anderson
Updated: May 23, 2012
The County Commissioners approved a change to the system in which raises and salaries will be decided for Taylor County officials.

The new system is effective immediately after yesterday's approval. Pay raises for employees will now be decided by department heads in an effort to help reward those who are working hard to save the amount of tax dollars being spent.

"The whole push to try to be fair certainly to our tax payers but certainly fair also to the people who our tax payers are asking to do the business of the county as well," explains County Commissioner Randy Williams.

Though the system is already in effect, it should take about one year to get the new system fully up and running.
