Ruff Riders Weekly Update: The Addition Of Byron Ingram

By: Ruff Riders Press Release
Updated: May 23, 2012
In their final game of the three game road series, the Ruff Riders finally grabbed a 39-37 victory. Most of that victory was credited to the new guy in the pocket, Byron Ingram. In his first Ruff Rider start, he had 185 yards total, went 22-42, had 3 passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.  Its a consistency the Ruff Rides haven't seen a lot of this season, and are hoping it continues this upcoming Monday.

"He's getting the ball out of his hand pretty early. The second half he held it a little long, but that was mostly due to our receivers not getting off the jam quick enough, and we are working on that this week. He's shown a lot of stuff to build on especially with it being only his second week, so I am pretty happy with his performance." adds Head Coach Joe Brannen.

"He's real tall in the pocket so he sees a lot of things before it happens, and he's able to deliver the ball a little earlier. He gives us a little spark, and since that was his team from earlier in the season, he really wanted to go out there are beat them real bad, so we went out there and got the win." says teammate Tyjuan Manning.

"He showed a lot of talent, he knew what he was doing basically." adds teammate Greg Yeldell, "and I  feel like we can run with him and that's what I want to do."

Now on Monday the Ruff Riders host the Houston Stallions, a team they lost to pretty terribly earlier in the season. Now with the addition of Byron Ingram, the Ruff Riders are hoping that the outcome is quite different.
