On Wednesday afternoon the two were spotted in the driveway of Gonzalez's mother's home having a conversation, one that could have possibly gotten a little heated.
One neighbor says Gonzalez used her cell after his girlfriend sped out of the driveway and yelled at her using profanity, asking where she was headed.
Toombs continues, "We do not know right now at this time if she left on her own free will or not."
According to other neighbors who would not go on camera, scenarios like the one the couple was last seen in were common for the two.
Although they were often seen arguing with each other, neighbors still say it seems a little strange for them to mysteriously disappear.
"Things like that you don't think would happen in your town, but they do and they surprise you and then you start to wonder, have we been cursed," says a neighbor, Pamela Harris.
As a mother, Harris worries about the safety of her own family, but is still hoping for the best possible outcome.
"It makes me sad because I could imagine if anything ever happened to her. So I'm hoping her and her mother just left on their own and they're okay," says Harris.
