The guys in blue beating Miles in game one of their Regional Semifinal series 4-3. A solid performance on the mound from Kyle Barnett helped lead the way.

These teams are very familiar with each other.. Stamford has knocked Miles out of the playoffs each of the last two years, but Stamford is not overconfident heading into the weekend.

"They're not somebody to take lightly. That's a good team and they're coached well. We're going to just have to play our game and have the attitude that we've had all year." Says Head Coach Lannie Templeton.

"It's kind of became a rivalry over the years -- the past two years. It's going to be a fun game. I think last year we won the last game by one. They're a baseball team and they're going to go down swinging so it's going to be a ball game. That's something to look forward to. We both came out of districts where we're always ten-run rule or win by five or eight. They wanted to meet up and we wanted to meet them. That's what we want. We got game one and now we've gotta just take game two hopefully." adds Jessie Ramos.

The Bulldogs begin play again on Saturday at 11am at Hunter's Field at Hardin Simmons.
