D1 Sports Hosts 5th Annual Football Challenge

Updated: May 26, 2012
Teams were at D1 Sports as a part of the 5th annual offensive line and defensive line challenge.

Players participated in eight different events to help train for the football season, but the new facility in Abilene helped intensify this year's challenge.

"It makes it a more intimate setting which we think closest equals intensity. And we've seen the kids, obviously everything in here  is state of the art, it's nice as you could possibly have, so i think it's really ramped everything up that we're doing. And we're really excited about it," said Hardin-Simmons head football coach Jesse Burleson.

Coach Burleson said they are hoping to do a second challenge this summer, and is looking to have that late June into July.
