APD: Man Asks 2 Men for Money, Gets Punched

Yesterday afternoon at about 5:00, Officer Michael Janusz was dispatched to a fight in progress at a business in the 4800 block of South 14th Street. APD dispatch was notified that three male subjects were fighting. Officer Janusz' investigation revealed that two male suspects had left the scene in a vehicle after fighting with a male victim. The victim claimed he asked the two unknown male suspects for money and that the suspects then began punching him. The victim sustained what appeared to be minor injuries. The victim did not wish to pursue charges and an assault report was completed.

Last night at about 9:25, Officer Shawn Montgomery was dispatched to a public intoxication call at a business in the 1800 block of South Clack Street. APD dispatch had been notified by an off-duty officer that he was concerned for the subject's safety. Officer Montgomery arrived and contacted the female subject. His investigation revealed that the female subject was intoxicated and she was arrested for public intoxication.

At about 12:40 this morning, Officer Rusty Antilley was dispatched to a disturbance in progress at a residence in the 800 block of Mesquite Street. APD dispatch was notified by the calling party that a male subject was at her residence making threats and that the man was in the process of removing property from the residence. Officer Antilley arrived to find that the male subject had already departed the scene. His investigation revealed that a known male guest had allegedly stolen several items of property after an argument. Approximately $400 of property was allegedly stolen. A theft report was completed and this investigation continues.
