Breanna Rogers, representative from Serenity Soapworks, walks us through the steps on how to make one of their famous Skin Clearing Bars. Rogers says the bar is mainly used for teens with troubled skin.
"What we started with is a mixture of rice brand oil, coconut oil, and palm oil," says Rogers.
Next comes a mixture of Lye and it's activating agent, water.
"What we're looking for is the consistency, almost of pudding, "explains Rogers.
The process usually takes somewhere around five minutes to complete, and next comes the fun part!
"We're going to add in the fragrance oil," says Rogers.
At Serenity Soapworks, the choices are seemingly endless! From lavender to a beer soap based off Shiner Bock.
The only step that remains is to pour the mixture into a soap mold and let freeze, then voila! You have your own custom soap that works like a charm and smells amazing!
