The reason charcoal is so popular is because it has that traditional flavor you can't get anywhere else.
But the sweet aroma emitted by a grill is accompanied by tiny soot particles that pollute the air and your lungs.
But there are certain types of grills than burn cleaner than other, like a gas grill, which is more efficient and cooks in half the time.
Electric or gas grills emit about 90% less carbon dioxide than charcoal grills and only cost about a hundred dollars more.
This choice can be a big help during the biggest grilling season.
Another simple ways of keeping grilling its greenest is to clean your grill after every use to reduce emissions.
