Ramos says he had a great time playing sports in Stamford, and he will miss the coaches. Ramos added, "The coaching staff, uh you know, I look at other coaching staffs in other towns, and you know, I'm glad we have the coaching staff that we do. (I am going to miss) my teammates because I don't think anyone worked harder than us. Just playing in the State Championship game. I don't think it's been done in about 50 years. I will always cherish that."
He will also miss spending time with his teammates off the field. Ramos said, "We were always doing something sports related. Every night, we'd go play whiffle ball, or something. We would always stay with the sports. We just tried to have fun with each other. I think we were a band of brothers."
According to Ramos being in the Greathouse/FCA All-Star Classic is excited because of the other players to get to be around. He said, "It gives you a chance to play with different athletes and be coached by a different coaching staff, you know, the best coaching staffs in the Big Country. They hear about you, but they really don't know you, and you get to meet those coaches, and they get to know you. You get to meet everybody in the whole FCA."
The Greathouse/FCA All-Star Classic is Saturday at 7. You can see that game live on KTAB. The girls basketball game is at Moody Coliseum at ACU. That game will tip at noon. You can watch it live on bigcountryhomepage.com.
