The Winters Blizzards are getting ready to start their State Quarter Final series with Stamford.

The Blizzards are just one series away from going to the State Tournament for the 1st time in school history. The Blizzards and head coach James Spivey are in uncharted territory, but they are looking forward to getting past 2 time regional champion Stamford.

"Well getting ready for this week started last week after our game finished, and then the games before that we used to get ready for this week, and then this week we've just been doing our normal routine, come out here like we normally would after school and   we are just trying to keep everything the same." says Senior Riley Ripley.

"You know, we've never been this far. Winters have never been this far in history, so we are making history and if we go to Round Rock that would be something really special." adds Jce Thomae.

The Blizzards and Bulldogs start their series Friday night at McMurry.. Game 1 is at 6:30. Game 2 is back at McMurry and is set to start at 11am.
