Congressman Randy Neugebauer announced a grant from the Department of Transportation to upgrade two taxiways that are used for planes to travel from the terminal to runways.

In a statement, Congressman Neugebauer said:

"By providing easy access to Abilene and the surrounding communities, this airport not only increases personal travel, but business travel as well. An investment to improve the Abilene Regional Airport is an investment in Texan jobs."
