She has had a strong passion for journalism since the age of 7, when she first distributed "Nora's Nickel News" among her family--updating them on "breaking news", such as a birthday party or a job promotion.
Nora studied electronic media and broadcasting at the University of Oregon, where she earned her bachelor's degree, and was involved with the student-run news productions, "Duck-U" and "Oregon News". She also spent time interning at ABC affilate, KEZI 9 News in Eugene, Oregon, where she shadowed reporters, anchors and producers.
From there, Nora attended Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon, where she studied management and leadership, and now holds a master's degree.
Nora is excited for her new adventure at KRBC, and looks forward to meeting new people as well as trading the Portland rain for the Abilene sunshine! Nora lives here with her husband, Derich.
