Camp Courage is a summer camp provided by Hendrick Hospice Care.
The camp gives a way for children to find tools and fellowship to help them cope with the emotional pain that they may be feeling.
Kids who recently suffered the loss of a loved one either through death, divorce, or incarceration attend the camp .
"We painted something for the people that we've lost and we've drawn in our journals to remind us about the people that we lost," said camper, Caitlyn Wright.
"Not only do we have fun these four days but we also try to give them tools that they can take home with them to deal with their losses," added Aimee Colley, who is the camp coordinator.
Camp Courage has been providing care to Big Country children for thirteen years.
