Her two border collies Simon and Kimber are her helpers as she tracks down missing persons.
"I kind of use both of us. I get them in a general area and then they do their job," said Gale St. John.
St. John says she's been a psychic since she was a little girl.
Now she's using her abilities to help a group of searchers locate missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn.
"They asked me if I could come and at least try, bring the dogs and look at different areas," she said.
They'll be moving all around- even using a jar with human remains to train her two dogs to track and sniff out any clues.
St. John isn't just using her dog's senses, shes visiting places Hailey was frequently seen like her home, to gather a sense or a smell she can use in her search.
I"'m tracking where I feel her presence where I felt her presence alive," said the Ohio native.
The self-proclaimed psychic medium has 30 years of experience in missing persons cases.
That's why April Wehba asked for her help.
"I've talked to Gale for several months now, worked with her and decided that this might be a good thing to try," she said.
Shes been looking for Dunn ever since she went missing in 2010 and says St. John just may be their final hope.
"We just keep going in circles and were in the same places all the time so maybe she and Gary [Peterson] can help lead us in a different direction," said the Breckenridge native.
St. John has no guarantee of finding Dunn, but she's willing to try to find any answers.
"Maybe we'll find evidence, we're not sure, but whatever we can do," she said.
As for any skeptics, well, she says the proof is in the pudding.
"I've brought a lot of people home so I always add does it really matter how, we just need to bring them home," said St. John.
St. John will be searching in Colorado City until June 5. She came as a volunteer, searchers say they only had to pay for her travel expenses.
St. John says one of her most memorable cases involved searching for missing Indiana resident Jack Berry Jr. who went missing in 2009. She predicted he was murdered by someone he knew.
Local police in the area made an arrest several months later after finding Berry's blood on a man's vehicle.
