Abilene Police Cadets Get Courtroom Training

By: Victor Sotelo

Abilene police cadets had a special training session in the courtroom.

Hopeful officers spent Monday in a mock trial testifying about a fictional crime scene they had to write a report on last week.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys questioned the cadets in the mock trial, giving the hopeful officers hands-on experience.

In reality, it will often be months to a year or more until officers are called to testify in a case they have worked.
