Dyess was mourning the loss of a comrade today.
"He is fantastic. Well liked within the until. Just like they talked about inside, wonderful smile, contagious work ethic, hard worker and just loved being around people," said major Patrick Bass. "And just loved this job so much like you wouldn't believe."
Those that worked with him said he made every work day fun.
"A very happy guy, very enthusiastic about everything. You know, very gun-ho. He was ready to have fun but when he was at work he was ready to work. He was very enthusiastic about work," said senior airman and fellow worker Gerrel Baily. "And it's kind of hard to leave because he kept everybody upbeat."
At the memorial, Villasenor's squadron was wearing badges with black tape to honor the fallen.
"Anytime we have a security force member or even a law enforcement, any law enforcement member go down in the line of duty, or in this case, by accident, we put the tape over our badge to remember them across the world," said Bass.
It's been a tough week for the Dyess community, but his friends and squadron are celebrating the life of their friend.
"It's been difficult, we've been coming together. It's made us a lot closer and a lot stronger," said Montgomery. "The ones that really knew him just share memories and we're just trying to honor him and mourn him but celebrate his life, celebrate all the good and remember his family and his daughter."
Hundreds gathered at the memorial, showing how many lives he impacted.
"It was incredibly moving knowing that not only did he effect all the cops, he effected the squadron, he effected the base. And to see everybody mourn and cry over him really should show his family and everyone how much we really love him and how much he really meant to us," said Montgomery.
Villasenor's squadron is in the works of a permanent memorial at his unit, so he will forever be at Dyess.
