Early Police Department investigated the burglary of a business in the 300 block of Early Blvd on March 24, 2012. Early Police Chief David Mercer stated that forced entry had been made into the business and several pickup computer chips were stolen along with several other items.
A break in the case came when Early PD Detective Mike McCoy was conducting some follow-up investigations and was able to locate several of the items stolen from the business at pawn shops in Ft Worth, Mercer said. The items had been pawned within a couple of days of the burglary. The items were placed on hold while Detective McCoy continued to follow up on the case, according to Mercer.
EPD then obtained a warrant for the suspect, Daniels Adam Goras of Brownwood, Mercer said. Goras was arrested on Tuesday, June 5th by Brownwood Police Sgt. Mitch Slaymaker while investigating a trespassing call in Brownwood.
Hearings are being scheduled in Ft Worth to remove the stolen items from the pawn shop and return them to the owner.
